9/9/13: The Week of No Sleep

Our week started with a two-mile run and pancakes. That was pretty fantastic.

Followed by bread sticks from Toppers Pizza. THEY HAVE BACON ON THEM. and chipotle ranch. Super delicious.

Then we terrified our ward mission leader's wife(the RS president) trying to slip our progress record through the crack in the door at like 8:00 at night when they were putting the kids to bed. HILARIOUS. Have I ever mentioned our ward mission leaders name is Moroni? He lives it :)

Our zone is bigger than most of the missions in the united states (it's made up of the biggest geographical stake in the US) so we do two zone trainings--one for the wisconsin side, the other for the upper michigan side. Since we were doing trainings in them, we had to go to the one in Marquette. Which meant we had to start driving at 5:00 AM to be on time with the time zone change and all...my brain was super fuzzy with car sickness by the time we got back and we were super tired but that night we had an exchange, so we didn't exactly get any extra sleep...the Lord is strengthening us!

We were really busy on exchanges! We got in contact with one of our really cool potentials :) So excited to start teaching him :)

We were going to have a baptism this saturday but it's stake conference. We wanted to do it anyway cause Sister Erickson goes home the next week, but looks like it's gonna have to be pushed to the 21st. Still...it's happening!

Ward council got cancelled this week which was actually a miracle because that gave me ten minutes to write my talk. That was all I got. It went pretty well, considering :)

I love Taylor! She's growing so much in the gospel. She's the one getting baptized. I am so excited for her :) Every time we go to her house the spirit is stronger!

Then this morning we got up at 5:00 because we taught seminary in the morning. That was fun too. High school students...oh dear...

Then we taght some group of like 20 lutherans about the gospel! It's some sort of religious learning thing that they do. Some were like 'these people are crazy' others were like 'hmm, cool educational stuff' and we hope that at least a few were like 'hmm, maybe I'll try this book out and see what happens' regarding the BoM. It was a lot of fun and there were some good questions.

Next on the list: get everyone to church! We had a bunch last week, and most of them didn't follow through this week...not cool. But we hope they'll be back next week! Stake conference is cool, right? I think so!

Sorry not much to actually talk about...this week has been a lot of driving, primarily. Then some lessons. It can get kinda frustrating, so I just don't think about the time we're losing if I can't control it. The Lord takes good care of our people in the meantime. We're so blessed.

Love,
Sister Neal

PS totally awesome swingset right off the highway to Green bay from Michigan. We stopped for a few minutes. Super cool :)
