2/11/14: SBFTW

Hey all :)
Breakdown of last week:
Monday became my own personal "prison-temple experience". It was awesome, but in some aspects it was the worst day ever. Suffice to say that by the end of the night President was promising us that he'd only leave us together for a few more days. (It was supposed to be only til Thursday, but ended up taking until Monday) I finished knitting my leg warmers. They are warm :)

I've never felt the Spirit so strongly as I felt it on Tuesday. DTM was awesome. I realized that we have the most dysfunctional district ever. The elders and sisters in this room have so many problems. But as we each got up and shared our thoughts about the power of prayer, I knew that this is the most faith-filled district ever. In spite of depressed or deathbed-sick elders and transfer madness and comp unity issues, these are missionaries with FAITH. Faith to move mountains. What more can you ask for?
Have I mentioned that our Janesville English elders are both chefs? They made us some delicious food. Best thing ever.
Wed-Sat we studied and went to our scheduled appointments. Things did get a little better and we talked more than we had last week, but they didn't improve as much as I would have liked. I learned some pretty awesome stuff about the rejection of prophets throughout history, and how it relates to our day. Also about prayer and the people of Alma. Lots of good stuff.

We had the extremely tender mercies of eating dinner at the houses of people we loved, which got us through the week. Our amazing Sister Tucker asked us to come over on Saturday when she found out that we just passed our year mark--she bought us an awesome chocolate cake, we played Life, and watched Mr. Kreuger's Christmas. It was fantastic. Best night ever.
So yesterday (Monday) we transferred at the mission home, and then me and Sister Allen went to Kopps because it's been almost a year for me and that place is amazing. It was even better than I remembered. Then we took the shortest 3-hour drive ever to Sturgeon Bay, and I unpacked.
Sturgeon Bay is like nowhere I've ever served. It's gonna be super different. I'm super excited!! Our branch has like 40 active members. There are no missionaries anywhere near us beside Elder and Sister Baker, our senior couple who are totally awesome. No elders anywhere. We have tons of work to do here, and it's super prepared! Sturgeon Bay hadn't had a baptism in like 3 years, and they've had 6 or 8 in the past three months. We have tons of people to teach. Missionary life is gonna be fantastic :)
Did I mention I get to be back in my old GB2 district? yes, it's pretty awesome :)

How are your lives? :)
Sister Neal
