This
week has been good. It was the first week we had to ourselves in our
area in a while, which we hardly even knew what to do with! It was weird
to think how everyone else was being transferred around we we just kept
on doing our work.
We started the week by fixing our car. Yay for cleanliness and
full tires! Later, we spent like half an hour getting a branch out from
under our car. Big branch. Sister get pretty creative about these sorts
of things :P
Apparently it's moving season. we also helped several of our la/rc/investigators move out and in. Moving is a LOT of work!!!
Quentin,
our miracle boy, is rocking the world. We met with him on
Wednesday--the first time in a while we were actually together for it.
We normally teach him on exchanges because he's such a great
investigator for the sisters to learn from :) Then Thursday we played
volleyball with him, some elders, and some other investigators and
recent converts. Friday he came to the BYU Football team devotional
(they played UWM in Madison the next day), Saturday he came to the
baptism, and Sunday he came to church. We basically see him everyday.
And we feel like he's getting close to making some choices...meaning
baptism. He feels the spirit a LOT and it's pushing him!
Correlation in our ward is just a little nuts. Meaning
hilarious. I think our new missionary in the ward was a little weirded
out. Welcome to GB2!! Where it's a party everyday. With baptisms. We hit
the ward goal for convert baptisms during 2013 with ChyAnne!
The Plan of Salvation is a hard lesson to teach well. I
don't know why. But when we taught it to Chad it went SO WELL. It was
awesome. And he came to the baptism too :)
Bro.
Vanderheyden talked at us some more over pizza. He's so funny. Funny,
but genius. And he loves Quentin. And I'm pretty sure Quentin enjoys
listening to him, so it all works out :)
Leadership council was...intense. That's all I've got. Intense.
Sister
Newton and I are ALWAYS on the same brainwave. Like, always. We had the
same impression about Chad's lesson, about Quentin's progression, same
stress before the baptism, same feelings about leadership council, and
when she said "We hit a branch with our...car" I thought she was about
to say "We hit a branch with our tree" and it turned out she had been
about to say that! And a million other things. It's kinda creepy. I feel
like she must be able to read my mind, cause I feel like I'm reading
hers...
No one is ever home when we have nothing else to do. Really?
Geez. We're trying to be productive, here. Three of our most solid
investigators have literally vanished (well, we're pretty sure one of
them is in jail...) and it's kind of annoying! When we're not around,
Satan is moving in!!! THIS MUST STOP.
Excited for zone conference this week. Except for the part where we've been asked to do the roleplay demo. Bleh.
Revelation
for the week: ...I can't remember. It's in my study journal. But it was
some cool stuff. Thank you football coach at BYU. I clearly need to
read more Holland when I get home. But is Christ talking about other
planets in 3 Ne 16:2 (I might be making up that reference...)?
Cause...that seems like one of the most likely options. Also: chapter
21. Missionary work RULES. And I really need to start studying Isaiah
when I get home...at least it's not Ezekiel. Phew!
Anyhow...missionary life is AWESOME!!
