I'm
so excited for transfers! I love Sis Ipson dearly, but I'm really
excited to train!!! And she's not going to be far away, so no sad
goodbyes yet :)
We
went to the Mitchell Park Domes and ended up teaching a family for like
half an hour there, haha. We're really hopeful for them, but it
probably won't be me teaching them.
On
my birthday, we had Zone Conference and I've never been so edified in
my LIFE! It was SOOOOOO good. I wish we could do that all the time! I
really want to start putting an emphasis on teaching my investigators how
to investigate, and helping them to see how making this a priority is
the only way they will be able to gain a testimony of it. And you know
the perfect way to do that? Alma 32!! We did a role play with that and
it was really cool.
I'm
working on developing my faith. I feel like I'm stuck in a rut of not
expecting miracles. (But Heavenly Father loves me and sends them anyway)
:D
We're
seeing some serious progression in our investigators even though none
of them are technically 'progressing' yet. They're figuring things out
and being more diligent, which is fantastic. and we met some wonderful
potentials this week. I feel like everything is lining up for the new
sister missionary to have some work to do here! I know this is where she
is going to need to be and I'm so excited to meet her!
Miracle:
Sister Ipson and I were sitting at the front of the bus in the handicap
seats (which is pretty normal when the bus isn't full) but then we got
up to move and the bus was really full. Normally we just seperate and
sit with other people when that happens, but we were debating getting
off soon so we just stood in the entryway of the back door, which we
NEVER do. We were thinking of getting off at 76th street because there
was a reasonable chance we would be missing the 60th bus if we got off
there, even though it would be the better route (this is the story of my
life here). We decided to wait for 60th street and right as we were
passing the 76th stop a guy at the back of the bus came up and asked,
"Are you the mormons?" and proceeded to explain that he had met with the
missionaries in Cleveland (Ohio) and had lost contact with the church
since getting to Milwaukee but had been searching for a way to contact
us. He sounds fantastic! SUPER excited to teach him :) We had to be
right there at that time or we never would have met him!
I
am so grateful to be out here right now, when the work has been so well
prepared by missionaries past and is yet being led by the Lord!
I'm
excited for my trio next transfer. My junior companion, Sister Hatch,
and I went on exchanges together a week ago and she is FANTASTIC. I'm so
excited to be serving with her! She is waiting for her visa to
Argentina, and she's been out a few days longer than I have, waiting.
And I get to train a wonderful, enthusiastic new sister from the MTC! I
think I have the best luck in the world :)
This church is true. I know it, I live it, I love it. Amen.
Sister Neal
