So
nothing that I didn't expect is happening with me this transfer, but I
was looking at transfer board and it's going INSANE. Things that have
never happened before are happening left and right. Most of the sisters
in training have been swapped to new trainers, people are being put in
areas they've already served in or with companions they've already
served with...it's nuts. That just doesn't happen.
My MTC companion just became another one of the STLs! ROCK ON!!!
Sister
Newton, who came out one transfer before me, is going to be my new
companion here. I don't know her very well, but I've only heard the best
of the best about her. I'm super excited :D
We had stake conference this week and the adult saturday
session was super ominous...everything was about temples...I think
they're implying something...
Pres. Culter came to the conference though and so it was nice to talk to him. I love him! He's so sweet and so smart :)
It should be noted that two people are not enough to cover to any
degree all the people we had at stake conference. Robyn came to church
for the first time since she moved here and she loved it! And NACHO is
starting her MISSION PAPERS and life just can't even get any better than
that. And Angie's making such amazing progress and the Wheelers stayed
for the whole thing and Nancy came and Taylor's whole family came.
Miracles :)
When bishop called Wednesday night to say "Sisters, Nacho has
been a member of the church for a year and she is worthy to serve a
mission" we both just started crying. She's incredible. We just baptized
her two little sisters a few weeks ago and now we're going to start
teaching her little sister's friend Sophia. This family is doing
incredibly. It's so worth it to see their amazing progress in the gospel
:)
two exchanges this week, both were great. I got to go to
Wausau and their area is wayy different from what I expected Wausau to
look like. So that was neat. We biked like 10 miles that day and just
sayin', doing that to this poor girl when she's been in a car the past
two transfers...painful.
Our other exchange I stayed in my area and we got a lot of
stuff done that we needed to! It took a load off for this transfer.
Sister Martin is great too :D
Check out the news.
Apparently on Saturday Green Bay tried to make a world record of the
most people doing zumba together. We almost went, but we were busy. It
was on lambeau field. I wanna know how it turned out!
Stake conference was so awesome. The importance of our temples
was a big focus, but they also talked a good deal about member
missionary work and the book of mormon. And there was a Q&A. It was
really neat :)
There was a packer game yesterday and we cracked our window and we
kept hearing cheers outside and then today EVERYONE is wearing green and
gold. So...we presume that they won :) Which is good, because when they
don't win people stop believing in God around here. It's...crazy.
It's Sister Erickson's last three days in Wisconsin! I love
her so much. She's an amazing missionary and she's going to be an
amazing member back home. I am grateful for the transfer I've had with
her. She really, really, really loves people. A lot. And she's shown me a
lot about being a leader. I'm gonna miss her headed back to cedar city!
I'm really excited for this transfer. We have an amazing ward
and amazing investigators and now I've got another great companion and
great sisters and we're rockin the world :)
Can't wait!
Sister Neal
