This was the Week of Things because we had all kinds of random stuff going on.
We
started on p-day by celebrating Elder Norton's b-day. We decorated the
halls of their apartment complex then spent all day making an ice cream
cake then ate it over bowling at some really sketchy bowling alley. Ron
the bartender is a sucker for sister missionaries though and we got to
bowl for free :) For the record, I only got second to last! :P
Then on Tuesday we had zone training, which was lots of fun.
Our ZL elder kanahele is awesome. then we had the best Cafe Rio dinner
at bishops house, then we met up with our STLs and went on an exchange.
I got to go with Sister Milligan!!! Reunited once more :D
We
had a blast in Kenosha. We totally sanitized this sweet lady's house,
answered some temple questions for their investigator Melissa, and
generally had a good time. I loved spending a day with this girl again. I
totally admire her, and I'm so proud of all she has done :) And it was a
tender mercy to me to see how much she looks up to me as well--I
worried about how competent of a trainer I was back then. It was an
awesome day.
Our elders. Are awesome. We just have to help them believe it.
Sister
Boggus and Sister Peterson picked up the flu on their exchange. It was a
rough day Thursday, but we got to see lots of people when Sister Boggus
wasn't napping.
Friday was just plain hilarious. We talked a lot and Sister
Boggus slept all day when we got home from seeing Bro Foster. Bro Foster
is a psycho-therapist President wanted us to go see, even before I got
to Janesville. It was super funny because he was trying to help fix our
companionship issues, which turned out to be really difficult because
we...don't...have any. Seriously. He reminds me of Mr. Schugk from Snow
College, who was one of my awesome Criminal Justice teachers, who had a
degree in behavioral science. Hmm...
It did help to at least get us communicating a little more,
just cause we aren't really that chatty of people. It was cool to hear
about Sister Boggus's life. She's an amazing girl :)
I watched all the D&C videos while she slept. They are awesome. I need more of this stuff...
We met Crystal, a referral, who is totally awesome. And some
other really nice LAs. And we made homemade chicken noddle soup, which
was delicious.
The Andrus family fed us the best missionary
meal I've ever had <3 It was super basic, but soo good! I love
mashed potatoes and gravy wayy too much. And all the other stuff :)
Sister Boggus is still pretty sick. It's not cool. Poor girl
:( Still taking things slow. But having a good time, and managing to
learn a ton in the process!
I love learning :)
Sister Neal
