Life is just such an adventure!
As
you know, we're getting some 15 more sisters this week and President
warned us that many of our 6-weekers would possibly be training. But
sister Milligan and I didn't feel like it was us even though all common
sense pointed to us, so we went on our merry way and I bought like fifty
dollars in groceries. Then I had a good reason to tell the Assistants
not to transfer me, right?
Then transfer calls came. I was like, "NOOOO!!!"
So
yeah. As common sense was saying, sister milligan has been asked to
train a new missionary, which automatically makes me opening a new area
and training...somewhere else. I don't wanna be somewhere else! Bah!
But
I'm really excited, haha :) Yaya for opening! Transfer board hasn't
come yet, but hey, I'm in Milwaukee, which means I have connections,
muahaha :) So I'm pretty sure I'm opening up Madison 3. More info next
week :)
The
illustrious Elder Trout left the mission field earlier today. He was
like my dad in the mission! It was pretty sad, but I guess I'm leaving
the area either way, so...meh. Still a bummer.
We had a lesson
with our miracle investigator, Michelle, and it went prety well. Plan of
Salvation is super cool! After district meeting on Tuesday, we got to
help the mission office move locations. See, a bar might have bought the
office space under the old mission office...so they kinda had to move.
Now they're in the Southridge parking lot, right in my area! And I'm
leaving! Rawr
But it was fun. And we learned lots of transfer secrets :D I'm going to miss being in the middle of everything!
Also, uhh, Elder Saylors is companions with Sister Boehm's son from the West Allis ward? WHHAAA??? Awesome connections :)
We've
been trying to get on as volunteers at the hospital this week but there
have been lots of problems, so maybe it's not meant to be. Either way,
I'm leaving so it doesn't matter much to me! This is hard. Bleh.
We
had lots of people at the Elder's baptism on Friday. It was the first
convert baptism in this area for several weeks. Christine and Emily, 8
and 12, are the cutest :) It was a straight-up miracle how they met them
too! And Elder Trout got to have a baptism right before going home,
which was probably nice. Cool stuff!
SOOOO,
who watched the General-Conference-for-June yesterday? Fabulous, no?
Missionaries get FB and blogs? I don't know how I feel about this...but
the rest of the broadcast was Awesome! Everyone should watch it. They
should have made it a church-wide thing, it was SUPER good. And it
focused even more on members than on missionaries. LDS.org: The Work of
Salvation. Watch it!
Lots of pictures taken this week before our district parts ways :) Here's a sneak peak :P
Love you all! Be member missionaries!
Sister Neal
