TRANSFERS!
This may mean nothing to all of you, but it means a ton to me!!
SO
MUCH CRAZINESS. Two more zones just split, and all the changes are
blowing my mind. Both my trainees are now STLs :) They're putting
sisters in Sheboygan, Oak Creek, and Gresham. Weird!!! Expected oak
creek, but not the others...
All of life is just fun as a missionary.
We had
interviews with President this week, which was fun because it meant lots
of district time. Our district meeting was SUPER good. Our district
leader is awesome. Man, interviews must be stressful...
We met the other half of Sister Reigle, and he is so cool! He
should get baptized. He's totally open. We have high hopes for him :)
Plus
we had a lesson with a new investigator named Jennifer, and she has
some good potential. Not a ton, but the interest is there, and she's
sincere. That's what counts!
We met three more LA sisters and set up return appointments
with them. There's one that I think might actually start coming to
church again. Soon.
Louise. I don't even know what to think
about her. She has potential, but there's a complicated side of
things...I don't know. Meh.
Like previously mentioned, transfers are on Wednesday. It
doesn't feel like it cause I just barely got here, but it is. And it
just makes me really excited for the future. I feel kinda detached from
the rest of the mission here in Janesville...I don't know why. But I do
:/
I really need to be a better missionary. It's really hard to
balance between yourself, your area, and your companion, particularly
when at least one of those is a delicate situation. Anyone have any good
solutions for doing the missionary work you
want to do when
other factors fight it? I hate just waiting for the time when I can do
things fearlessly the way I think will be effective...I feel like I've
done that most of my mission anyway. Lots of complicated feelings :/
We met this
awesome family referred to us by a missionary in Colorado who used to
live here. The family are his best friends--he emails them still and
everything. We are really excited to teach them, but they just left on a
week-long vacation. Why does that always happen?
Quentin got the priesthood! Rock on!! I am there in spirit :):)
Anyhow,
this week is going to be intense. We have lots of appointments every
day and lots of referrals to contact while we're at it. We are learning
the art of member-oriented missionary work :) So far, so good.
