1/13/14: Missionary Work and Rummikub

I don't know if it's legal, but we played rummikub last night. Never done that on my mission before. But lots of missionary apartments have games, so I guess it's an okay p-day thing? Yesterday wasn't p-day, but the situation warranted treating it like one. Sometimes you just gotta take some time for you. Especially when your companion needs it.
K, so since last week I have been meeting all the people that Sister Ipson and Sister Boggus have been teaching. It's been a lot of fun, they are all great. They are all less-active too. There is a ton of less-active work here to do. I learned how to knit, and more of how to crochet. It's intense how much you can do with this stuff. We also read out of the BoM with a ton of people. I love reading the BoM with people. Nothing better.
We are teaching a FAMILY. They are really cool. There are four kids and the parents are married and together. Don't see that much these days. They have been super great and I think they really have a lot of potential. There's gonna be some stuff to work through, but the thing about that is that since this gospel is true, if they are really searching, everything will work out as it should :) That's a great comfort to me.
We have been taking it slow the latter part of the week because Sister Boggus has had a LOT of trials coming at her from back home. It's been rough. So we've been talking things out and making meals together and playing rummikub and watching church movies while we knit. Just like old ladies, yup :) I've learned a lot lately about the importance of giving trials time instead of just ignoring them and pressing forward. I have decided that it's best to take them head on, accept them, move past them, and then you can get back to work. So that's what we've been doing.
Pray for us.
Sister Neal
