I
forgot my planner which is kinda the only way I remember anything these
days (particularly since I seem to be developing short-term memory
loss!) so we'll see how much I remember from this week...
First
off...I'm developing a serious allergy to cats...I have known this for a
while. But now it's happening with dogs too! BBLLEEHHHH I'm still
hoping that it's just a coincidence since my normal allergies are acting
up too.
4th
of July didn't exist for us. Sister Smith says she saw I few fireworks.
I guess I did see one. But mostly I think she's exaggerating :P
The
village (yes it's legally called that) did all kinda of fun community
stuff on the 2nd and the 3rd, but nothing on the 4th! That was odd. We
met some cool people at the activities, though.
We
had some lessons with Dewey, one of our more serious investigators.
Talked a LOT about the BoM and the Bible. It was good. He seems to know
the church is true, he's just hesitant because he knows this is a big
committment. So close!
Our
other investigators are Lawrence and Jeff, which are bffs from like 6th
grade but are now in their thirties. They eagerly accepted baptismal
invites. Now we just have to...teach them. But I know the Lord will help
them accept our message! This really is the true church, after all :P
Also, Dorothy. She's an interesting one. But I bet she'll be baptized!
Also
Craig and Mike 1 (and Mike 2 and Mike 3. Probably not Mike 0 though)
and Greg and Megan and Dan and Peter and (why are the all dudes? idk) so
many more people! The less-actives are also showing some solid
potential!
The
members here are so incredible. We only work with like a fourth of the
ward(the rest are on the Elder's side), but it's a good fourth :D They
eagerly introduce us to their friends and neighbors. Pretty awesome.
Learned a lot this week. Met the new president! Super different, but I guess I'll adapt :)
We
saw fireflys for the first time ever this week! We were kinda freaking
out. They're nothing like I thought they would be but they are totally
awesome. It's really cool to walk around at night and watch the hundreds
of them on people's lawns.
There's
a LOT of bugs in summertime Wisconsin. It's kinda driving me crazy. And
the big ones aren't even around yet. I do NOT like bugs!
The sun is REALLY red out here, every night. It's pretty cool to watch.
Also,
I spend a lot of time carsick. Our area is super hilly and we're twenty
minutes from the other cities in our area. Hopefully I'll get used to
that...
Hmm...yeah.
Lots of finding going on. But it's been pretty productive! And the
people here are still as incredibly prepared as ever. I feel like a lot
of missionaries could do a better job with it than we are, so I'm trying
to learn uber fast how to be better!
More news next week!

Spiritual
thought of the day: The BoM. Everytime I read it for studies I feel so
much more edified than like...anything else. I read Alma 56: awesome.
And Alma 31-33 were great too. How does this book just keep getting
cooler?
