After
an unusually slow week last week and not a lot of real stuff going on, I
emailed you all and wondered why not much was happening.
Then the rest of my Monday happened :)
We extended a baptismal
date. met several potentials, all of whom I decided were getting
baptised from the moment I met them, we ate some Argentin food,
and...again, met some awesome people. Everyone we talked to had SO much
potential. It was fantastic.
So
Sister Ipson and I are teaching a Polish guy. Then Spanish Elders
called us up and were like "Hey, we heard you need a Polish BoM. And
we're not sure why...but we have one!" It was the coolest thing ever. We
gave it to the Polish guy and he was amazed.
Tender mercy :)
We
met the cutest girl ever that lives in our apartment complex. Right now
it's just a friendship but I can't even wait to share the gospel with
her :)
On Wednesday we literally met with like eight less-actives/referrals. It
was seriously a crazy day. Every other second Sister Ipson was like,
"Heavenly Father, it's too much! I can't even handle how awesome this
day is!" from like nine in the morning on.
Weekly
planning was much needed. We got more than 15 referrals this week! Not
from the members, but from other missionaries, but nonetheless it was
pretty amazing to be meeting so many people and the organizing of our
thoughts really needed to happen.
The
people in the ward are SO amazing. They are such powerful testators of
the message and I'm pretty sure they all teach better than we do :)
Sister Morris was a tender mercy, plus hearing that Sister Boston went
to Utah this week and visited my mom made my day, haha.
Our
recent convert, Jaime, during her first new member lesson was like
"Umm...I have ten people who would like to come to church with me this
week. Is that okay?"
Umm...yes. I think we can arrange for that.
It was AWESOME.
The
elders in milwaukee could not seem to get over our numbers at
correlation this week. It really wasn't us, but Sister Ipson and I met
the standard of excellence for new investigators for our entire district
and had almost 10% of the whole mission field's goals for the week.
Referrals are a beautiful, beautiful thing :)
Seriously.
Referrals are the best. REFER YOUR FRIENDS. The Lord needs people who
will build up his kingdom, and that means that the people that we most
strongly desire to teach are the people who are at work when we're
tracting. And the people who have families. And the people that don't
take the bus. Not to say that we don't want to share the message with
everyone, but we should focus on the people who will be able to help the
kindgom grow, not who need to be helped. So referrals are really the
best resource we have. WE don't know who these people are. But YOU do.
Every member a missionary!
Love you guys!
Sister Neal
